Victoria: Tier IX Spanish Premium Battleship 1945
A swift battleship that shared the layout and features of the Italian Vittorio Veneto-class warships was considered for construction in Spain through discussions with the Italian government in 1939 and 1940; however, the escalation of World War II and condition of the Spanish economy hindered the implementation of these plans.

Key Features of Victoria
Victoria is armed with nine 381mm main battery guns which have long range but long reload time. She will also feature a new unique mechanic – "alternative shell types". At any point in the battle, Captains will be able to choose between two firing modes:
It is important to note that despite the radical difference in the velocity of shells of the different firing modes, the AP penetration of both the standard and alternative shell is similar. This is due to the fact that the alternative shell is significantly lighter in order to achieve higher velocity.
Victoria additionally has excellent armor and good concealment for a battleship but will have low HP and weak AA defense in return.
Consumables are represented by a standard Repair Party and a choice between Fighter and Spotter in the same slot.
Gameplay
At the centre of her gameplay lies the new variation of "Alternative Firing Mode". Astute Captains will be able to switch between these modes as the situation demands, allowing Victoria to be effective in most combat situations. To make best use of this ship, aggressive Captains may use her good armor and concealment to engage targets at close range with the Standard Firing mode to deal maximum damage.

Currently, WG are considering multiple Victoria ship concepts and besides the previously announced one, WG will also test the current one.
Starting with Update 13.6, we will begin testing the above-mentioned concept for Victoria. WG will thoroughly evaluate the ship's performance and tester feedback for all concepts of the ship before making the final decision.
In this new iteration, Victoria gets low-damage and low-penetration standard AP shells, which have incredible ricochet angles and reduced fuse timer, making them very similar to SAP shells, but with much more penetration (compared to SAP shells, that is—otherwise penetration is quite low for a battleship shell) and higher chance to hit citadels.
Alternative AP shells, on the contrary, boast very high penetration and damage, but have significantly worse than average ricochet angles, making them only useful against broadside targets, as the shells will start to ricochet even off the slightly angled ships, making them primarily an anti-broadside weapon. To further supplement this gameplay of a "broadside hunter", the ship's concealment was improved.

I would like a camouflage with the flags painted on the hull in the bow and stern like the rest of the ships of the Spanish branch, being a neutral country during WW2 they were painted on the cruisers
ReplyDeleteThey said for version 13.2 we would have news. We are already at 13.3 and we don't know anything. Estimated date?
ReplyDeleteJust looks like a reskin of the Roma bumped up to T9. Or is that just me?
