Buffs for Premium Ships Poltava and California

POLTAVA: Tier VII Soviet Battleship:

  • Firing range of main calibre guns increased from 16.1 to 18.3 km.
  • Accuracy settings for the main calibre guns are adjusted to the standard settings for battleships.
Poltava's concept is very similar to that of Sinop, but due to the specifics of armouring it is less effective in close combat. We've increased Poltava's firing range and also changed the settings of her guns. Now the concept of Poltava will be closer to that of 'usual' battleships, but with some characteristic differences such as a limited number of Damage control party charges and a special armouring scheme.

CALIFORNIA: Tier VII American Battleship:

  • Firing range of main calibre guns increased from 17 to 19.1 km.
  • Sigma parameter was changed from 1.7 to 1.8
In keeping with many other American battleships of her era, California does not have the fastest speed. Because of this, the ship spent too much time reaching the battlefield at the beginning of the game, and sometimes did not have time to help allies during battle. We increased the range of the ship's main calibre guns so that she can engage the enemy earlier, and also slightly increased her accuracy so that California can engage the enemy effectively at long range.

BLYSKAWICA: Tier VII European Destroyer:

  • Main battery reload time was reduced from 6.5 to 6 seconds.
Bล‚yskawica — one of the first premium ships in our game. Since her release, many game tactics have changed and there are new ships played in a similar style. The new reload time will increase damage and strengthen the role of the destroyer in the current meta.

HOSHO: Tier VI Japanese Aircraft Carrier:

  • New torpedoes Type 91 mod. 0 have been installed instead of the old Type 91 mod. 1. The new torpedoes speed will be 40 knots instead of 50.
  • Reduced the returning speed of torpedo bombers to the aircraft carrier by 40%.
Due to a high cruising and returning speed for Torpedo Bombers, experienced players that avoided aircraft losses could solely use Torpedo Bombers. Both changes listed above will increase the amount of damage taken by Torpedo Bombers (the climb after the attack will be slower, and to effectively attack Torpedo Bombers will have to fly closer to their target). The new speed will also reduce the effectiveness of Torpedo Bombers against destroyers as it gives them the opportunity to manoeuvre and evade.

Strong Torpedo Bombers is one of the main features of the Japanese aircraft carriers, which we would like to preserve. With these changes, we plan to balance the performance of tier IV carriers, but will also continue to monitor the situation and, if necessary, make further changes.

ENSEIGNE GABOLDE: Tier II French Destroyer:

  • Torpedo speed was reduced from 57 to 52 knots;
  • Main battery reload time was increased from 4.8 to 5.2 seconds.

FUSILIER: Tier III French Destroyer:

  • Torpedo speed was reduced from 57 to 52 knots;
  • Main battery reload time was increased from 6 to 6.6 seconds.

BOURRASQUE: Tier IV French Destroyer:

  • Main battery reload time was increased from 6 to 6.6 seconds.
Unlike their higher tier counterparts, these lower-tier French destroyers do not yet have the explicit gameplay of gunboats and therefore their damage output is roughly divided equally between torpedoes and main battery.

The proposed changes are designed to reduce the total damage and do not change the ratio of damage dealt by torpedoes and the main battery. The torpedoes were also too fast for these tiers when taking into account their range.

VLADIVOSTOK: Tier VIII Soviet Battleship:

  • Sigma parameter was changed from 1.7 to 1.6.
The battleship's main battery had excessive precision. The parameter change will reduce precision at all ranges of combat, without changing specific settings of the accuracy of Soviet battleships.

KREMLIN: Tier X Soviet Battleship:

  • Reduced max damage of AP shells from 15500 to 14500 and changed other related parameters (Krupp parameter and the mass of the projectile).
  • To match AP shells, we also reduced the maximum damage of HE shells from 6600 to 6500, the chance of fire from 48% to 45% and other related parameters (weight of shells, splash damage).
The efficiency of Kremlin was higher than other battleships of tier X. To balance the ship and at the same time have a minimal impact on the defining features of the battleship, we have changed the characteristics of her shells. Along with the above changes, we slightly changed the armor penetration and ballistics.

Autumn PTS New Rewards World of Warships

Autumn PTS New Rewards

This summer, a Marathon was held on the Public Test server. For the duration of three Updates, players were able to complete additional missions and received containers as rewards, as well as a Tier VI Premium ship as the final reward.
Public Test 0.8.9 opens the Autumn Season, which will last for three Updates. Seasons will now be held on a regular basis: the Autumn Season will be followed by the Winter Season, then the Spring Season, and so on…
We've collected your feedback, analysed the Marathon results, and now we’re ready to talk about our further plans. What changes will the new Season bring for our players?

Missions for those who missed the previous tests

In the previous Season, any players who had missed at least one Public Test weren’t eligible to receive the final reward for completing all three additional missions. We've amended this in the new Season, and now the missions of the second and third Public Tests of a season will also include the season missions of the previous tests if they haven't yet been completed. Thus, you'll be able to join the last Public Test of a season and complete all the missions of that season in one sitting. However, it will require quite a bit of time to do so!

Variety of missions

In the previous Season, all missions were of the same type—players had to win 15 battles during the Public Test. Success depended largely on the team, as opposed to any particular player's skills. Success in the missions of the new Season will hinge on the amount of XP earned, along with other combat statistics. The exact details will be announced later on.

In the previous Season, players could additionally receive patches and a commemorative flag for completing all three missions.
