Salvage for Victory: The Surcouf Arrives
A new Salvage for Victory event will begin in the last week of the update. This event allows you to exchange resources—Coal, as well as rare and epic expendable economic bonuses—for various rewards, including 3x new premium ships VIII M Colonna, VIII Narai and IX Zarya S.

The crown jewel of the event is the legendary French submarine

Unique Characteristics
The Surcouf is armed with four forward-facing torpedo tubes and two stern-based triple-tube launchers. The latter are capable of firing to each side and have extremely good firing sectors—better than those of most destroyers.
- 🚀 Heavy Artillery: Two 203 mm guns in a twin turret (among the largest ever on a submarine).
- 🛠️ Consumables: Access to Main Battery Reload Booster and Spotting Aircraft.
- ✈️ ASW Airstrike: The first submarine in-game with access to ASW Airstrikes.
- ⚡ Speed: Equipped with Improved Engine Boost typical for French ships.

Surcouf lacks sonar, acoustic torpedoes, and Hydrophone. She is primarily designed to operate on the surface. Diving should be reserved for stealthily repositioning or tactical disengagement. Note that her guns and stern launchers can only be used while surfaced.

I was excited for this to come to game. But as a new player, the acquisition of this ship in game will only be obtainable by veteran players. For someone who started in October of 2025, I will not have enough resources(which you gain by playing). Seems Wargaming is not for all it's player base.
ReplyDelete100% agree, I've been playing on and off since release and even though I've spent some of my resources I'm no where close to being able to earn it, you can guarantee they'll bring it back afterwards though for £50-£60 like they regularly do

ReplyDeleteWe want more submarines and premium ones, hopefully 1950s submarines, From the british an american and Russians, also we need WW2 premium german japanese other submarines in Tier VI VIII X, We need to help USS Batfish and adding her as a Tier VIII submarine might be good, and we also need USS Tang tier X premium submarine, we need more please, and HMS Norfolk and HMS Suffolk.
