A hypothetical post-war Dutch cruiser design and a further development of the De Zeven Provinciën class with a focus on enhancing the ship's air defense. The cruiser's main battery is represented by dual-purpose 120 mm Bofors guns, adopted into service by the Royal Netherlands Navy in the early 1950s. The ship’s name “Union” came from the Age of Sail and was traditional for Dutch ships during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Unie: Battle Tips

  • Beware of Torpedoes: Since the ship lacks Hydroacoustic Search, you are highly vulnerable to torpedoes while sitting inside your smoke screen.
  • Manage Your Range: Your ballistics are less favorable and your range is short; avoid long-distance duels and focus on mid-to-close range support.
  • Cycle Your Airstrikes: Because the Airstrike has a short reload time and only one charge, use it frequently to punish stationary targets or enemies behind islands.
  • Coordinate for Spotting: As a light cruiser with a small HP pool, work closely with friendly destroyers to spot targets while you provide high-volume cover fire.
  • Utilize Mobility: Use the Emergency Engine Power to quickly reposition or escape dangerous situations when your thin armor is targeted by large-caliber shells.

  1. WG continues to flood T9 and T10 with ship after ship after made up science fiction ship while totally ignoring anything lower tiered.T10 just gonna be a mess of machine gun spam, machine gun torps and zero fun for anyone but the whales.
