A Cachalot is a marine mammal that holds the title of being the world's largest predator, capable of reaching 20 meters or more in length. When hunting for prey, cachalots can dive to incredible depths of up to 2 kilometres. Their preferred food sources include giant squid, other molluscs, and fish. Cachalots have been the subject of numerous myths and legends worldwide, and they are often portrayed as devilish whales capable of sinking and consuming entire ships.

Restrictions

  • Number of Key Areas: 3
  • Capture time: 30 seconds
  • Scoring capture points: 3 points every 4 seconds

Ship Restrictions

Just like in previous seasons, certain restrictions on the numbers of specific ships per team apply in Clan Battles.

The restrictions can be set for the entire duration of a season or for specific periods of time. For example, they might be set after the first 2 weeks of a season then replaced with different restrictions a few weeks later. This allows us to promptly react to the current state of the season.

Season 21 begins with the following restrictions:

  • No aircraft carriers and submarines in battles.
  • No more than two Tier IX ships.
  • flag IX Musashi and flag IX Georgia are banned from battles.
  • The number of ships of specific types won't be limited during Week 1 of the season. From Week 2 onward, there will be a restriction of one battleship per team.

The Cachalot season will feature restrictions on the number of specific ships.

Each team can have no more than one of the ships from each of the following lists:

  • flag VIII Nebraskaflag IX Delawareflag  IX Kearsargeflag  IX Kearsarge Bflag  VIII Massachusettsflag  VIII Massachusetts B  VIII Lenin, and flag IX Prinz Rupprecht
  • flag  IX Alaskaflag IX Alaska B  IX Kronshtadtflag VIII Nebraskaflag IX Delawareflag  IX Kearsarge, and flag  IX Kearsarge B

You probably noticed that both lists include flag VIII Nebraskaflag IX Delawareflag  IX Kearsarge, and flag IX Kearsarge B. If you choose one of these ships, then all remaining ships from the other list will become unavailable. The lists have been carefully curated to ensure that each team can have only one such battleship while also preventing the selection of other ships that might have an advantage in this particular battle type.

Each team can have no more than two of the ships from each of the following lists:

  •  VIII Cherbourg IX Brest  IX Carnot, and flag  IX Admiral Schröder
  •  VIII Le Fantasque  VIII Le Terrible IX Mogador VIII Kievflag VIII Nebraskaflag IX Delawareflag  IX Kearsarge, and flag  IX Kearsarge B
  • flag IX Kitakazeflag  IX STAR Kitakazeflag  VIII Kiddflag VIII Akizuki  VIII Loyang  VIII Loyang Bflag  VIII Cossackflag  VIII Cossack Bflag  IX Benhamflag VIII Nebraskaflag IX Delawareflag  IX Kearsarge, and flag  IX Kearsarge B

You probably noticed that flag IX Delawareflag VIII Nebraskaflag  IX Kearsarge, and flag  IX Kearsarge B are in multiple lists. If you choose one of these ships, then you will only be able to choose one ship from the other list it appears in; if you choose two of these ships, then you will not be able to choose any ships from the other list they appear in.

During the season, based on our statistical analysis, new restrictions may be applied and existing restrictions may be changed. We'll announce any changes separately on our Development Blog. Information about any changes will also be available in the game client.
