ST 0.9.7, Changes to Aircraft Carrier Research Cost
In Update 0.9.7, the research cost for aircraft carriers of all nations will be changed:
* For Tier VI - lowered from 68,000 to 40,000 XP.
* For Tier VIII - increased from 158,000 to 161,000 XP.
* For Tier X - increased from 330,000 to 355,000 XP.
Initially, the amount of XP required to progress from a Tier IV aircraft carrier to a Tier VI one was made relatively high in order to give more time for players to familiarise themselves with the new gameplay mechanics. Now that a larger number of players have already experienced this, we're changing the aircraft carrier branch progression to be more in line with other classes by lowering the time needed to research Tier VI carriers. At the same time, however, the total cost for researching all the ships in a carrier branch will remain the same.
* If you had a Tier VI aircraft carrier researched, but not the Tier VIII of the same branch, then 28,000 XP will be credited to the Tier VI carrier.
*If you had a Tier VIII aircraft carrier researched, but not the Tier X, then 25,000 XP will be credited to the Tier VIII carrier.
