Unique Commander Talents Changes - Closed Test 15.6
Update 15.6 brings quality-of-life improvements to Unique Commanders.

WG have two goals with these changes:
- Increase the usefulness of their Talents by making them available across more battle types.
- Make Talents more consistent between different commanders—especially those Talents that have been difficult to activate.
Here's what they are doing:
- Removing achievements from conditions for Talent activation, so they can activate in a broader range of battle types.
- Simplifying some activation conditions by introducing staged triggers that grow in power as you hit additional milestones.
- Adding separate activation conditions and bonuses for battle types, so that Talents will be equally achievable and beneficial in most of them. It will also give us the ability to tune these settings for particular battle types in future balancing passes (if needed). There will be several groups of battle types assigned to each talent. Depending on the group, activation conditions and effects may vary for the same Talent.
Battle Groups Breakdown
- Battle group 1: Random, Co-op, and Ranked Battles as well as Brawls.
- Battle group 2: Operations.
- Battle group 3: Battle types in which Unique Commander Talents are disabled: Clan and Training Battles.
Temporary battle types may be assigned to any of these groups, meaning the exact version of a Talent available in a given battle type, as well as for any new battle type we might add in future, will be determined separately. We will announce Talent availability for temporary battle types in our publications.
In the Port, you will be able to check Commander's Talents, their versions for different Battle groups, as well as which battle type belongs to a particular group. To do that, select a Commander and click on the "Commander Details" button.
We're also improving how repairs provided by some Unique Commander Talents work. Currently, they function like standard repairs, meaning they can only restore HP based on how much repairable damage your ship has taken. With the upcoming changes, these repairs will instead restore a fixed amount of HP regardless of that limitation.
Additionally, we will be replacing the talent "Untraceable" for William F. Halsey Jr. with a new one—"Speed is Life"—that will have different activation conditions and bonuses. It will be triggered by torpedo damage and provide a bonus to ship speed.
