Yavuz Sultan Selim: Tier IV European Turkish Battleship 1912
Moltke-class battlecruiser, originally commissioned into the Kaiserliche Marine as Goeben. The ship arrived in Constantinople in August 1914 and was transferred to the Ottoman Navy under the name Yavuz Sultan Selim. She then participated in several operations in the Black Sea against the Russian Navy. In January 1918, during the Battle of Imbros, she sank two British ships but sustained severe damage herself. In 1930, after lengthy repairs, the battlecruiser returned to service as the flagship of the Turkish Navy, which she remained until her decommission in the 1950s.

Why Turks in European line? They belong to Asia, that's why the close friendship with Pakistan.
ReplyDeleteGeographically: Turkey is both Asian and European.
DeleteCulturally & Politically: Turkey is a fusion of both, acting as a strategic and cultural bridge between the two continents.
Calling it solely "European" ignores the vast Anatolian heartland and its deep Asian roots. Calling it solely "Asian" ignores the significant European territory, the cultural influence of its European cities, and its political aspirations. The most accurate description is "Eurasian."
