Amiral Lartigue Gameplay Overview
Compared to Hildebrand, Amiral Lartigue focuses much more on her main guns rather than her aircraft, evidenced by their high accuracy and range. She retains the typical French cruiser Engine Boost, allowing her to redeploy rapidly to keep her guns in play.
To further enhance her ability to impact the battle, she has improved plating thickness on her hangar deck, allowing her some resistance to long-range fire that otherwise would deal significant damage. This, along with her high hitpoint pool should ensure she maintains her ability to impact the battle throughout.
However, she also lacks the Hydroacoustic search typical of German cruisers, meaning torpedoes are a significant threat given her large size and poor agility. Her high base detection range will also make it more difficult to surprise your enemies.
She carries a single aircraft squadron of skip bombers split into two strikes. They are fast aircraft with bombs that have decent potential alpha damage, allowing them to make strong hits on the enemy. Players must be careful, however, as the squadron has a long cooldown meaning you must pick the right moment to deploy them.
Overall, Amiral Lartigue focuses more on her main guns to impact the battle from mid to long range, while having a powerful alternative weapon in the form of her aircraft when the situation suits them.
