L-20 belonged to the last group of minelaying submarines of the Leninets class (series XIII-38), equipped with powerful torpedoes launched from eight tubes.

Renamed B-20 in 1949, decommissioned 1956; sank on 10 October 1957 in Chernaya Bay during nuclear testing.
