Cayuga - Tier IX Commonwealth (Canadian) Destroyer 1947
One of the Canadian-built Tribal-class destroyers, Cayuga, missed World War II and went on to serve as a key part of the Royal Canadian Navy into the Cold War. She was modified in light of wartime experience, receiving improved armament for defense against both aircraft and submarines. She conducted three tours during the Korean War before serving in various training roles. She was decommissioned in 1964 and later sold for scrap.

Key Features and Battle Tips
Key Features
Don't let her small size fool you—this destroyer punches well above her weight, and comes loaded with all the hallmarks of a Commonwealth ship, but with a special twist.
- Relentless Firepower: High main gun DPM with eight 102mm guns and decent range.
- Tactical Concealment: Access to a unique, time-based Crawling Smoke Generator.
- Precision Torpedoes: Features tube-by-tube launching for high-accuracy strikes.
- Stingy Armament: A single quadruple launcher with good range but lower damage potential.
- Glass Cannon: A small HP pool with no Repair Party consumable.
Battle Tips
1. Hunt the Small Game
Focus your 102mm guns on enemy destroyers and light cruisers. Your fast reload allows you to melt lightly armored targets and rack up massive damage in short windows.
2. Master the "Toggle" Smoke
The time-based Crawling Smoke Generator offers incredible flexibility, but beware of the standard, longer reload time. Unlike some ships with rapid-cycle consumables, you must plan your "On/Off" triggers carefully so you aren't caught in the open while it recharges.
3. The "Flood and Burn" Combo
Use your tube-by-tube launching to force an enemy to use their Damage Control Party. Once the flooding is cleared, immediately switch to HE shells to set permanent fires while they are vulnerable.
4. Calculate Every Trade
Because Cayuga lacks a Repair Party, any damage you take is permanent. Use your concealment and smoke to stay mobile and avoid fair fights—only engage when the odds (and the cover) are in your favor.
