Surcouf: Tier X French Premium Submarine 1934

A unique submarine armed with two 203 mm guns—a kind of analogue of a heavy cruiser. She was designed both for attacking enemy surface ships and for conducting raider operations. Among Surcouf's notable features—aside from being the largest submarine in the world at the time of her commissioning—were her unusual torpedo armament layout and the presence of a reconnaissance aircraft on board. During World War II, as part of the Free French forces, Surcouf participated in protecting Atlantic convoys and in capturing the islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. In February 1942, the submarine disappeared with her entire crew while en route to the Pacific.

Key Features

Surcouf is a unique submarine equipped with a powerful 203mm gun turret, the same type used on French heavy cruisers.
It has a large hitpoint pool and access to the Improved French Engine Boost, which can also be used while submerged.
Unlike other submarines, it trades the Hydrophone consumable for an ASW Airstrike.
It uses a Submarine Surveillance consumable with reduced parameters.

Battle Tips

Play primarily on the surface to make full use of your large guns, torpedo broadside, and Engine Boost.
Use your Main Battery Reload Booster for devastating salvoes.
Submerging is best for stealthy repositioning, as you lose access to most of your armament underwater.
Your surface-play style is similar to a destroyer, but you trade a smoke screen for the ability to dive.
Your torpedoes are strong but have a long reload; use your broadside launchers wisely when surfaced to overcome poor agility.

    1. About $100 dollars, but the ship could be any price, the base value is what World of Warships estimate the value of the ship, you might even be able to get it free by playing a mission chain.
