Adjustments to Clan Battle Season 29 Restrictions

WG's goal with these changes remains the same: disrupting the long-standing meta to encourage strategic diversity and adaptability. The initial restrictions successfully pushed teams to experiment with new tactics, and WG are pleased with the level of flexibility shown so far.

The new restrictions aim to:

  • Reduce dominance of certain ships in their respective roles.
  • Introduce more variety in team compositions.
  • Make smoke play a viable but risky option, adding another layer of decision-making.

Bug Fix: Vanguard's Repair Party Consumable

WG have identified an issue with VIII Vanguard's Repair Party consumable.

In a previous balance update, WG adjusted the cooldown to 60 seconds, but the change was not properly reflected in-game. This will be fixed within the next 12 hours, with tooltips and UI updates coming in Update 14.4.

Final Thoughts

These changes are designed to keep Clan Battles fresh and engaging, ensuring that no single strategy or ship dominates the meta. WG appreciate your feedback and adaptability as they continue refining the competitive experience.

Please note that all information is still in development Work in Progress. Announced adjustments and features may change multiple times during testing. The final details will be officially published and labelled in the ship info as 'Released' on this blog.

  1. How about not allowing experimental ships like the Oregon into clan battles.
