Błyskawica '44 boasts a quick reload and high shell damage, providing excellent damage per minute. Her improved ricochet angles and low arming threshold ensure her guns remain a threat against any target. The torpedoes, similar to those on Öland, offer respectable extra armament but have a longer reload time, making them a secondary tool. The ship's refit enhances her top speed, maneuverability, and concealment. She also features a formidable toolbox of consumables, including a fast-acting Repair Party, Emergency Engine Power, and Hydroacoustic Search with a ship detection range of 5km. Notably, Błyskawica '44 lacks a Smoke Generator, making her purely offensive.
Gameplay Advice
Błyskawica '44 excels as a knife-fighter. Despite her main battery's low range and poor ballistics, her high damage per minute and improved AP shells make her extremely dangerous to enemy destroyers in close-range engagements. Utilize her speed and concealment to initiate fights with the element of surprise, inflict heavy damage, then disengage and heal any damage taken with Repair Party. Be cautious against heavier targets; engaging cruisers and battleships at close range is risky. Instead, use her poor shell ballistics to your advantage by lobbing shells over island cover.
