Upcoming Removal of 32-bit World of Warships Game Client Support
With the arrival of Update 14.1, World of Warships will no longer support the 32-bit (x86 architecture) game client. This change marks a significant step forward in the game's evolution, and here’s everything you need to know about this decision.
Why is 32-bit Support Being Removed?
Currently, players can choose between the 32-bit and 64-bit (x64 architecture) game clients. However, WG's data shows that fewer than 0.51% of players still use the 32-bit client. The 64-bit client, better suited for modern systems with higher RAM and CPU capabilities, is overwhelmingly the preferred choice.
Additionally, as WG continue to develop new features, the limitations of 32-bit architecture increasingly hinder their compatibility. Supporting two separate game clients also complicates development and testing processes. Transitioning exclusively to 64-bit allows WG to focus resources on delivering a better overall experience.
What Does This Mean for Players?
Starting with Update 14.1, the 32-bit client will no longer be an option. The 64-bit client requires more RAM but offers enhanced performance and support for modern features.
- No Impact for Most Players: If your PC meets the current system requirements, you will not notice any changes.
- Potential Performance Issues for Older PCs: Players using PCs with less RAM than the listed minimum requirements may experience reduced performance after this transition.
