USS Tennessee, the lead ship in her class, was commissioned in 1920. A Pearl Harbor survivor, she underwent two modernizations that significantly changed her appearance. During the Pacific War, USS Tennessee took part in numerous operations including the Battle of Surigao Strait and the Iwo Jima and Okinawa landings. The battleship received ten battle stars during her service.

Key Features

  • Speed: Slow turret traverse and top speed, typical of American standard-type battleships.
  • Hit points: Smaller hit point pool for a Tier VIII battleship but good concealment.

  1. In the United States Navy, it is customary to express most units of weights and measures using the English system. Your insistence on using the metric system to express gin calibers, etc., can only cause confusion.
