HMS Monmouth: British Tier X Special Heavy Cruiser 1947
A hypothetical design embodying the idea of a heavy cruiser with 234 mm main battery guns within a post-war reality. The project of such a ship with a displacement of over 20,000 tons and unusual artillery layout in quadruple-gun turrets was considered in the Admiralty in 1938 but did not receive further development.

Monmouth Game Flag.
The county of Monmouthshire in southeast Wales is located at the confluence of two rivers: the Wye and the Monnow. The only surviving fortified bridge in the U.K. lies over the Monnow. The guardhouse located above was built in late 13th–early 14th centuries and has survived to present day.
Key Features:
- Monmouth is a cruiser designed for medium-range combat. With her eight guns positioned at the ship's fore, she can fire effectively without having to show her broadside.
- The AP parameters have changed to be more efficient due to the lack of HE guns. Monmouth is also armed with two quadruple torpedo tubes with the ability to launch torpedoes one by one.
- Monmouth has mid-deck armour has changed from 40mm to 30mm, but low speed and mediocre manoeuvrability.
- The ship is equipped with a choice between Hydroacoustic Search or Defensive AA Fire in one slot, as well as a Repair Party consumable.

Feel like I've been waiting forever for this ship to arrive. Another ship stuck in developer hell.
ReplyDeleteIts a Giblaltar v2.0. I am not sure if its a separate ship or a test object...
Deletelegendary upgrade for gibraltar?
DeleteSeparate ship from what we have been told so far.
DeleteA less effective version of Gibraltar. No famed British HE, less deck armor, torps less damage.
