Lead ship of the Fuyutsuki sub-class of the Akizuki-class anti-aircraft destroyers. Compared to previous members of the class, these ships were simplified to speed up construction, as the Imperial Japanese Navy recognized the need for greater anti-aircraft firepower. Fuyutsuki escorted battleship Yamato on her final operation. Following serious damage from a mine strike, she was later converted into a breakwater.

Fuyutsuki plays similarly to the VIII Akizuki. Her improved HE penetration allows her to melt through cruiser decks.
Tip: Equip the "Inertia Fuse for HE Shells" (IFHE) Commander talent to reach the 32mm penetration threshold, allowing you to damage the bow and stern plating of most battleships.
