Bismarck '41 - Tier VIII German Premium Battleship

The famous German raider; one of the two most powerful battleships the Kriegsmarine possessed during World War II. During her first and last combat mission, Bismarck failed to strike Allied communications in the Atlantic but took part in the sinking of HMS Hood and forced the British Admiralty to gather dozens of warships in an effort to neutralize the threat her existence presented. On May 27, 1941, Bismarck was sunk in a multi-hour battle off the west coast of France.

Key Features

  • Surgical Main Battery: Features improved accuracy over the tech-tree counterpart, allowing for precise strikes despite a slower reload.
  • Manual Secondary Focus: Equipped with powerful secondaries (akin to Prinz Adalbert) that boast improved range and rate of fire when manually targeted.
  • Engine Boost Consumable: Offers enhanced mobility to reposition, similar to Scharnhorst '43.
  • Solid Armor Scheme: Excellent protection designed to sustain damage and protect the citadel from most AP shells.
  • Trade-offs: Lower health pool than the standard Bismarck, lacks Hydroacoustic Search, and has no torpedoes.

Battle Tips

  • Master the Secondaries: To maximize damage output, you must manually target enemy ships with your secondaries. Automatic mode will significantly underperform.
  • Find the "Sweet Spot": Do not engage in absolute knife-fighting range due to the lack of torpedoes and lower health. Operate in the range where your manually controlled secondaries are firing, but you can still angle against incoming fire.
  • Strategic Aggression: Use the Engine Boost to push into advantageous close-combat positions, then utilize your superior armor to hold the line.
  • Deliberate Shooting: Because of the longer reload on the main guns, take your time to aim for vulnerable spots rather than spamming shots.
