IX Valparaiso: Pan-American (Chile) Premium Battleship 1946
A unique battleship that combined high speed, powerful anti-aircraft systems, advanced technological equipment, and obsolete main battery guns from the World War I era. In the late 1950s, the British and Chilean governments discussed the possibility of selling the last British battleship, HMS Vanguard. The deal ultimately fell through, but if it had happened, the Chilean Navy would have been replenished with the most powerful ship in its history.

Overview
Valparaiso is a Tier IX British battleship based on a modernized HMS Vanguard hull. While she has a lighter main battery (four twin 381mm guns) with below-average accuracy, her high rate of fire and improved AP ricochet angles make her a consistent threat. Unlike most battleships, she lacks HE shells, limiting her versatility but reinforcing her AP-focused playstyle.
Her secondary battery is a standout feature, with four accurate twin 127mm turrets per side, boasting a high fire rate for sustained damage. Combined with improved acceleration and stronger deck/side armor, she can better withstand HE spam. Her Specialized Repair Teams provide enhanced survivability, while her unique Combat Instructions—charged by secondary hits or sinking an enemy—grant a massive consumable cooldown reduction, allowing for rapid healing and aggressive play.
Key Features
- Hybrid Brawler Playstyle – Excels in mid-to-close range with strong secondaries and fast-firing main guns.
- Improved AP Shells – Better ricochet angles compensate for lower caliber and shell count.
- Potent Secondary Battery – Fast-firing, accurate 127mm guns with good range.
- Combat Instructions – Gain a huge consumable cooldown boost by landing secondary hits or sinking enemies.
- Enhanced Survivability – Thicker deck/side armor, fast-acting heals, and improved acceleration.
- No HE Shells – Forces a focus on AP penetration and positioning.
