Karl von Schönberg Flag
Karl von Schönberg (1872–1914) was the commander of light cruiser Nürnberg. He met his fate on board this ship while fighting the English forces near the Falkland Islands on December 8, 1914. He was a descendant of an old Saxon noble family. Its coat of arms features a two-color red and green lion in a field of gold.
