The 85th Anniversary: Hunt for Bismarck

The centerpiece of this update is a somber and heroic tribute to naval history. As we approach the 85th anniversary of the sinking of the Bismarck, World of Warships honors the memory of those who fought and fell during the Battle of the Denmark Strait. This event is designed to recreate the tension of the final, ill-fated sortie of Germany's most feared battleship through immersive gameplay and historically inspired rewards.

The legendary pursuit begins anew in Update 15.4.

Bounty Hunt: High-Stakes Naval Pursuit

The Bounty Hunt activity returns for a specialized 2-week engagement. Mirroring the actual historical hunt where the Royal Navy mobilized every available asset to intercept the Bismarck, players will be split into two distinct roles: Bounties and Hunters.

Role Breakdown & Participation

• The Bounties: High-value targets marked for destruction. Players can take this role in Random Battles using Cruisers, Battleships, or Destroyers (Tiers VI–X and Superships).
• The Hunters: The pursuers tasked with neutralizing the threat. Hunters can set sail in Tier V–X ships and Superships of all types.

Status & Deployment

Mechanics have been refined for this iteration to ensure a balanced and competitive experience:

• Acquisition: Bounty status is obtained through Free Random Bundles available daily in the Armory.
• Probability: Only 50% of these bundles grant the Bounty status, making it a prestigious designation.
• Duration: Status is limited to either 5 battles or a 24-hour window.

Mission Parameters & Token Acquisition

Bounty Objectives

Earn Bounty Hunt Tokens by completing the following:

• Completing 5 battles.
• Destroying enemy vessels.
• Earning "Assisted in Destruction" ribbons.
• Surviving the duration of the engagement.

Hunter Objectives

Earn Bounty Hunt Tokens by hunting the marked targets:

• Track down and eliminate Bounty ships.
• Daily Cap: Hunters can claim up to 3 bounties per day.

The Spoils of War: Exclusive Rewards

Bounty Hunt Tokens can be exchanged for a variety of historical and stylistic items in the Armory:

• ⚓ New "Hunt for Bismarck" Permanent Camouflage
• ⚓ New "Hunt Continues" Permanent Camouflage (Specifically for Tier VII King George V)
• ⚓ "Last Sortie" Enemy Destruction Effect: A unique visual flair for your kills.

Update 15.4 introduces legendary titans of the Atlantic theater. These ships were pivotal in the 1941 pursuit and are now available for your fleet:

The Eiserner Kanzler is a standout addition. Based on the Bismarck '41, she features a specialized permanent camouflage that reflects the battle-scarred appearance of the ship during her final engagement.

Owners of the Eiserner Kanzler gain exclusive access to a new four-piece historical collection. Completing this set yields prestigious rewards:
