World of Warships Update 0.7.6 - Arsenal - Clan Battles - 4 New American Cruisers - Cherry Blossom

World of Warships Update 0.7.6 - Arsenal - Clan Battles - 4 New American Cruisers - Cherry Blossom

Update 0.7.6 - Arsenal - Clan Battles - 4 New American Cruisers - Cherry Blossom

American Light Cruisers
Light cruisers are maneuverable support ships featuring good concealment. They carry rapid-firing 152 mm main battery guns that are capable of delivering decent damage per minute and are the main assistants and supporters of the team. Starting from Tier VIII, these ships can make simultaneous use of Surveillance Radar, Hydroacoustic Search, and Defensive AA Fire. However, they require a high level of concentration from the player due to their moderate HP pool and overall weak armor protection. Besides, you will have to get used to the unusual ballistic trajectory of the shells in order to deliver fire in an efficient manner by skillfully using terrain as cover. To find out more about the newly arrived ships, read our article dedicated to light cruisers.

Arsenal
The main new feature of Update 0.7.6 is the Arsenal. The Arsenal is a place where players can exchange Coal and Steel for signal flags, camouflage patterns, ships, containers, and special upgrades. Coal and Steel are new in-game resources that you can earn by completing various combat missions, achieving high ranks, and demonstrating good performance in Clan Battles. The Arsenal is found in the upper left corner of the Port, above the list of available combat missions and challenges. A player has access to the Arsenal starting from Level 8 in the Service Record.
Upon the release of the update, players will be given a generous bonus of Steel for some of their combat merits; they will also receive Coal to the amount of 5 times their accumulated Oil (5 Coal for each 1 Oil barrel).
Please pay your attention to the fact that a player can accumulate Oil only when they are a member of a Clan. Only a player’s personal Oil that was earned during the time the player belonged to any of their Clans is counted! The Clan’s Oil is not counted in this case.
Make sure you check out the special "Coupons" section to activate and apply a discount for various items.
Mission: Coal for everyone
Earn 20 000 base XP over any amount of battles and get 5000 coal.

New Operation "Cherry Blossom"
As promised, the 'American' series of updates will add new challenges and leave a lasting impression, even for the most experienced commanders! In Update 0.7.6, a new operation titled ‘Cherry Blossom’ will complement the list of available scenarios. This Operation is inspired by the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay that occurred on November 2, 1943, in which a Japanese squadron under the command of Admiral Omori clashed with an operational task force headed by Admiral Merril.
Under the cover of darkness, the Japanese forces undertake an attempt to counterattack the American assault troopers who landed the day before. The players' primary task is to defend the troopers and exploit the success by attacking the enemy base. The operation begins at night and continues into the early hours of the morning. Finally, the combat action comes to an end by daylight. The players will be offered new game mechanics—a night battle—during which illumination bombs are used to light up the battlefield.
You can take part in this operation by playing with American, British, French, and Soviet Tier VIII cruisers. ‘Cherry Blossom’ will become a default operation for the two weeks following the release of Update 0.7.6, and then it will be included in the standard rotation and will be available for completion as an ‘Operation of the Week’.
For more details about the new Operation, please read this dedicated Article.

Clan Battles. Season ‘Sleeping Giant’
Season 3 of Clan Battles is coming. Fight, win, and earn Steel to spend in the Arsenal!
The season starts on June 30 and ends on August 19.
From June 30 through July 6, those who have played at least one Clan Battle will be able to redistribute their commander skill points free of charge.
V

The new season, named ‘Sleeping Giant’, is based on the same rules you already know very well:
  • Tier X ships only.
  • Battles are played in the 7vs7 format; no more than one battleship per team; no carriers.
  • There are five Leagues for you to climb through to get on top: Squall League, Gale League, Storm League, Typhoon League, and Hurricane League.
  • Rewards may differ slightly from those in previous seasons and some will be replaced by a new resource—Steel!
  • The following six maps will serve as battlegrounds for the ‘Sleeping Giant’ season: Hotspot, Sea of Fortune, Warrior's Path, Mountain Range, Tears of the Desert and, of course, Sleeping Giant.
Clan Battles will be available on the following days only: Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday.
Prime time, CEST: 19:00–23:00
The Rating of all Clans will be reset to standard values. Your Clan will receive 50 bonus points for the first battles played in each of the Leagues in the previous season, 'Islands of Ice', (except the starting—Squall—league), up to a maximum of 200 points.
Starting from Update 0.7.6, the highest value of the two ratings—codenamed Alpha and Bravo—will be considered the Clan's Leading Rating. In Clan Battles, players will get the opportunity to select a Rating in which they want to fight after the Clan has constructed a Squadron Staff building at the Clan's base. As a result, Clan players will be able to choose a Rating to match their style of play—serious battles to occupy the top positions, relaxed battles to play with friends or to test new tactics and combinations of ships.
When at the Clan's base, you can find the both Ratings by hovering over the emblem of the League to which your Clan currently belongs.
If you’ve always been curious about the Rating of Clans from other realms, Update 0.7.6 will satisfy your curiosity. In the 'Clans' section, under 'Clan Rating', you will find the statistics containing the Ratings of Clans from all over the world.
With the introduction of the Arsenal, all players will receive 6,000 Steel for each 'Stalingrad' flag they have earned. Those players who have gained 30 victories in the Typhoon League will receive an additional 10,000 Steel to help them accumulate enough resources to exchange for Tier X cruiser Stalingrad, which will appear in the Arsenal in Update 0.7.8.

Please note: in honor of the Arsenal release in Update 0.7.6, you will be given a coupon that entitles you to a 25% discount for the 'Ships' category. It will come in handy if you participated in three seasons of Clan Battles with the purpose of earning cruiser Stalingrad. Do not spend your coupon and Steel on other ships, otherwise you'll have to get more Steel to exchange it for the cruiser without a discount. Wait until Stalingrad rolls into the Arsenal and be the first one to get the ship with a discount. You deserve it!
When the season starts, any player who plays a Random or Clan Battle with a Tier VIII–X ship, will be given a set of three special Tier X ships for temporary use:   X Shimakaze  X Hindenburg  X Conqueror.
  • The ships are given for temporary use and will be written off accounts with the release of Update 0.7.7.
  • The ships will be available in Clan Battles only.
  • A special timer near the ship image in the Port will warn you about the expiration of the rental period.
  • You won't be able to mount any type of camouflage on these ships.
  • You will be able to re-assign Commanders to rented ships without penalty.
  • Rented ships will bring you the rewards calculated in the same manner as for researchable ships.
  • When these ships are removed, their Commanders will be automatically sent to the Reserve, and the upgrades, consumables, and signals will be moved to the Inventory.
  • If the ships have alternative modules like Shimakaze's torpedoes, you can mount them at no cost.
  • If the Commander was recruited specially for a rented ship, their specialization will remain the same after removing the ship from the account.
  • If the Commander was recruited for a rented ship and then re-assigned to another ship, their specialization will remain the same after removing the ship from the account.
  • The ships are added together with a slot. The slot will be removed from the account together with the ship.
In two weeks after the release of Update 0.7.8, if you earn three ‘Stalingrad’ flags and have already redeemed your coupon for cruiser Stalingrad, you will be given another coupon providing a 25% discount for the ‘Ship’ category.

World of Warships - Update 0.7.5 Collection - Campaign "Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often!"

New Collection and New Campaign

Update 0.7.5 is not all about ships. We'll offer a new themed campaign and a collection that will be available in the game on a permanent basis.

Campaign "Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often!"

The story of the campaign will tell about the military career of the U.S. Admiral William Halsey. To complete it, you'll need ships of Tier VIII or above while some tasks will require U.S. ships of select types only. By completing tasks, you get a variety of useful rewards, including super containers given for accomplishing final tasks. Once you are through with the last task of the final mission, you get a unique commander called William Halsey with 15 skill points, talents and a commemorative patch.

In the game, William Halsey will boast the following skills, talents, and distinguishing features:

"Expert Loader" skill:
  • -75% (intead of -50%) to the reload time of guns when switching shell type.
"Expert Marksman" skill:
  • +3 deg/s (instead of 2.5 deg/s) to the traverse speed of guns with a caliber up to and including 139 mm.
  • +1 deg/s (instead of 0.7 deg/s) to the traverse speed of guns with a caliber above 139 mm.
"Hit Hard!" talent. After earning the "Confederate" achievement, Commander Halsey's ship gets:
  • -20% to the main battery loading time.
  • -20% to the service time of carrier aircraft.
  • -10% to the reload time of torpedo tubes.
"Hit Fast!" talent. After earning the "Double Strike" achievement, Commander Halsey's ship gets:
  • -10% to standard detectability (the value stacks if the "Double Strike" achievement is earned several times in a battle).
“American Cruisers” collection

The collection is quite large, offering as many as 48 items to collect. Including:
  • Stylized images of U.S. cruisers ranging from St. Louis in 1907 to Des Moines in 1948;
  • Historically significant American naval weaponry like the 152 mm Mark 16 twin turret or the M2 Browning anti-aircraft machine gun;
  • Medals of merit issued by the U.S. Navy like Medal of Honor or Silver Star Medal.
  • Patches (as collection items) such as machine gunner or radar operator patches.
Completing the subcollections will allow you access to a set of alternative color patterns for standard expendable and permanent camouflages for U.S. ships, as well an ability to fly a second flag on them. Each of the sub-collections will be dedicated to one type of ships only.
Collection Section Reward
Cruisers, 1900s–1930s A second flag on all U.S.A. cruisers
Cruisers, 1940s A second flag on all U.S.A. battleships
Main Battery A second flag on all U.S.A. aircraft carriers
Anti-Aircraft Guns A second flag on all U.S.A. destroyers
Highest Awards An additional color scheme for the standard camouflages of all U.S.A. cruisers
Orders and Medals An additional color scheme for the standard camouflages of all U.S.A. battleships
Combat Ratings An additional color scheme for the standard camouflages of all U.S.A. aircraft carriers
Other Ratings An additional color scheme for the standard camouflages of all U.S.A. destroyers
You can build your collection as long as you are "subscribed" for it, i.e. if the "Collect" button is activated on the collection screen. Should you decide to continue with a different permanent collection, your progress under the "American Cruisers" collection will be suspended until you press the above-mentioned button again. If the "Collect" option is enabled for this collection, collectible items will come in daily containers.

The US frenzy is by no means over at this point as next we’ll be launching the first part of a marathon of combat missions with the ultimate reward being the Tier VII Premium cruiser Indianapolis.

The majority of "American" containers will primarily be available as a reward for the successful completion of the marathon missions. In addition to the expendable "Stars 'n Stripes" camo, special and economic signals, they may contain combat missions which, once completed successfully, will bring Premium ships ranging from Sims and Monaghan to Atlanta and Kidd right into your Ports. The refitted researchable Cleveland and a corresponding commemorative patch can also be obtained that way. Each of the missions can drop out for you only once. If you already have any of the above-mentioned ships, you'll get a Commander slot and a bonus in credits. Please note that the combat missions for those ships will only be available in the period from June 1 till August 20, 2018.

More details about the conditions of the marathon will be available in an article on June combat missions.

World of Warships - Update 0.7.5 Dasha Welcomes The American Cruisers

Dasha Perova wows-gamer-blog.com

With the release of Update 0.7.5, we're launching a new cycle dedicated to American cruisers. As a starting point, we'll offer an upgrade of existing ships, and in the subsequent update we'll introduce an alternative line of ships.

Principles of Ship Replacement

The general principle is "players will not lose anything".
  • A ship that has been replaced will remain available to the player (in their Port if she was purchased, and in the researched state if she was researched).
  • The replacement ship will be added to the player's account together with a ship slot (if the replaced ship has been purchased) or will become researched (if the replaced ship has been researched).
  • Replacement of modules will be carried out by means of adding similar modules for the new ship to the player's account, or by reimbursement of their cost in XP (added to the new ship) and credits.
  • For the replaced ship, her Commander's specialization will be changed to the ship of the corresponding tier in the standard branch. A new Commander with bonus XP will be recruited for the replacement ship.
  • If a permanent camouflage was purchased and mounted on the replaced ship, it will remain mounted on this ship and a new permanent camouflage (for the added ship) will be added to the player's account.
The game statistics for the cruisers Cleveland, Pensacola, New Orleans and Baltimore will be divided; the statistics for the ships' new roles will be gathered starting from scratch.

Please note! When Update 0.7.5 hits the live servers, all players will have a chance to complete the following combat mission: Play one battle of any type with Tier VI cruiser Pensacola to get 190,000 Elite Commander XP. This will allow you to easily redistribute the skill points of the Commander or retrain the Commander of the Tier VI Cleveland to the new ship. The combat mission will become available for completion until June 29.

Cleveland

If you researched Tier VI cruiser Cleveland, you will get a researched Tier VI cruiser Pensacola and Tier VIII cruiser Cleveland. Tier VI cruiser Cleveland is removed from the account with all her modules.
  • Tier VI cruiser Pensacola will come with the researched modules similar to the ones researched on Cleveland. On the Tier VIII cruiser Cleveland, only stock modules will be researched.
  • Players who already have the Tier VI cruiser Cleveland will get:
  • The Tier VI cruiser Pensacola (in the same build as Cleveland). All commanders and XP earned with cruiser Cleveland will be transferred to the Tier VI cruiser Pensacola.
  • Also, players get the Tier VIII cruiser Cleveland in stock build and a Commander with 8 skill points for the ship.
Camouflages: If you have the standard permanent camouflage for Cleveland, you get the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VI cruiser Pensacola and the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VIII cruiser Cleveland.
  • If you already have any of the permanent camouflages, your duplicate will be exchanged for a refund in credits in the amount equivalent to its cost in Doubloons.
  • Players who have the New Year permanent camouflage for Cleveland will get the New Year permanent camouflage for the Tier VIII cruiser Cleveland only.
If your Tier VI cruiser Cleveland had the top module 152 mm/47 Mk16 researched, your newly added Tier VI cruiser Pensacola will be added 7200 associated XP. If this module was purchased, 580,000 will be added to your account.

Pensacola

If you researched the Tier VII cruiser Pensacola, then the Tier VII cruiser New Orleans will become researched post-update. Tier VII cruiser Pensacola is removed from the account with all her modules.
  • The Tier VII cruiser New Orleans will come with the researched modules similar to the ones researched on Pensacola.
Players who already have the Tier VII cruiser Pensacola get:
  • The Tier VII cruiser New Orleans (in the same configuration as Pensacola). All Commanders and XP earned with the cruiser Pensacola will be transferred to the Tier VII cruiser New Orleans.
  • Also, players get the Tier VI cruiser Pensacola in stock build and a Commander with 6 skill points for the ship.
Camouflages: If you have the standard permanent camouflage for Pensacola, you get the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VII cruiser New Orleans and the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VI cruiser Pensacola.
  • If you already have any of the permanent camouflages, your duplicate will be exchanged for a refund in credits in the amount equivalent to its cost in Doubloons.
If your Tier VII cruiser Pensacola had the top module 203 mm/55 Mk14 researched, your newly added Tier VII cruiser New Orleans will be added 12000 XP associated XP. If this module was purchased, 980,000 Credits will be added to your account.

New Orleans

If you've already researched the Tier VIII cruiser New Orleans, you get the researched Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore. Tier VIIII cruiser New Orleans is removed from the account with all her modules.
  • The Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore will come with the researched modules similar to the ones researched on New Orleans.
Players who already have the Tier VIII cruiser New Orleans get:
  • The Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore (in the same build as New Orleans). All commanders and XP earned with cruiser New Orleans will be transferred to the Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore.
  • Also, players get the Tier VII cruiser New Orleans in stock build and a Commander with 7 skill points for the ship.
Camouflages: If you have the standard permanent camouflage for New Orleans, you get the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VII cruiser Baltimore and the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VII cruiser New Orleans.
  • If you already have any of the permanent camouflages, your duplicate will be exchanged for a refund in credits in the amount equivalent to its cost in Doubloons.
  • If you had a congratulatory permanent camouflage for New Orleans, you get a congratulatory permanent camouflage for the Tier VII cruiser New Orleans only.
If your Tier VIII cruiser New Orleans had the top module 203 mm/55 Mk14 researched, your newly added Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore will be added 20,000 XP associated XP. If this module was purchased, 1,570,000 Credits will be added to your account.

Baltimore

If you researched the Tier IX cruiser Baltimore, you get the researched Tier IX cruiser Buffalo post-update. Tier IX cruiser Baltimore is removed from the account with all her modules.
  • Tier IX cruiser Buffalo will come with the researched modules similar to the ones researched on Baltimore.
Players who already have the Tier IX cruiser Baltimore get:
  • The Tier IX cruiser Buffalo (in the same configuration as Baltimore). All commanders and XP earned with Baltimore will be transferred to the Tier IX cruiser Buffalo.
  • Also, players get the Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore in stock build and a Commander with 8 skill points for the ship.
Camouflages: If you have the standard permanent camouflage for Baltimore, you get the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier IX cruiser Buffalo and the standard permanent camouflage for the Tier VIII cruiser Baltimore.
  • If you already have any of the permanent camouflages, your duplicate will be exchanged for a refund in credits in the amount equivalent to its cost in Doubloons.
If your Tier IX cruiser Baltimore had the top module 203 mm/55 Mk15 researched, your newly added Tier IX cruiser Buffalo will be added 27,500 XP associated XP. If this module was purchased, 2,400,000 Credits will be added to your account.

All mounted upgrades, camouflages, signals and consumables will be demounted from replaced ships and stored in the Inventory.

If any of the ships is to be issued several times (e.g. when a player has both Cleveland and Pensacola, they get Pensacola added to their account twice: Pensacola + Cleveland and New Orleans + Pensacola), the player will get the ship in a configuration set in the replacement rules, a Commander, a slot and a refund in credits in the amount equal to the purchase price of the ship in stock configuration regardless of all available discounts.

Ship Combinations
  • If the player earlier purchased Tier VI Cleveland and Tier VII Pensacola, then a bonus of 2,950,000 will be added to their account.
  • If the player earlier purchased Tier VII Pensacola and Tier VIII New Orleans, then a bonus of 5,570,000 will be added to their account.
  • If the player earlier purchased Tier VIII New Orleans and Tier IX Baltimore, then a bonus of 8,900,000 will be added to their account.
Bonuses Given in Exchange of Duplicate Camouflages
  • If a duplicate permanent camouflage for a Tier VI ship is added to the player's account, then such duplicate will be refunded in the amount of 1,500,000
  • If a duplicate permanent camouflage for a Tier VII ship is added to the player's account, then such duplicate will be refunded in the amount of 3,000,000
  • If a duplicate permanent camouflage for a Tier VIII ship is added to the player's account, then such duplicate will be refunded in the amount of 4,500,000
Thus, if by the moment of Update 0.7.5 release you have Cleveland, Pensacola, New Orleans and Baltimore with the top modules mounted and permanent camouflages purchased, then the total amount of credits you'll be given as a refund resulting from the transfer of the ships within the tech-tree will be equal to 31,950,000 Credits

WOWS - The Rewards for New Campaign "Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often!"

world of warships
"Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often!"
One of the main new features of Update 0.7.5 will be a new permanent campaign.

Thematically, the campaign was inspired by the glorious career of Admiral William Halsey, one of the key figures in the U.S. Navy's victory at sea during World War II, whose slogan "Hit hard! Hit fast! Hit often!" became a byword for the Navy. Not without good reason! Halsey came to prominence as a commander of the combined carrier divisions, but to complete the new campaign, you'll have to rely on various ships, which aren’t all American. The only common restriction for tasks will be the minimum tier of ships, Tier VIII.

Throughout the five missions and 49 tasks, you'll have to achieve a wide range of objectives from earning a given amount of XP over any number of battles, to joining the top three scorers on your team with a heroic achievement. The successful completion of the final task of the fifth mission will grant you the unique Commander Halsey to helm one of your U.S. ships and the Commander's commemorative patch.

Like other campaigns, each task will bring a reward only when it is first completed, while stars for each task can be earned many times. Key point: The first, second and final task of each mission can be completed in Ranked and Clan Battles so you can grab the final rewards with no need to leave the types of battles you like most.

Each successfully completed task will provide you with various bonuses from economic signal flags and expendable camouflage patterns to Premium consumables, credits, and free XP. Complete the final task of the first mission and get an "American" container to start building your "American Cruisers" collection if you haven't yet done so. The final tasks of the second to fourth missions will bring you two super containers each! And when you're through with the final challenge of the fifth mission, your ultimate reward will be William Halsey, a unique commander that will come with 15 skill points and a commemorative patch. Once Commander Halsey with 15 undistributed skill points is in your Port, he will get a specialization for Tier I U.S. cruiser Erie. In addition, you get 200,000 credits and 50,000 Elite Commander XP that you can use to retrain your new Commander for any desired U.S. ship.

All details about the tasks and rewards issued for their completion will be available in the game client after Update 0.7.5 goes live.

In the game, William Halsey will boast the following skills, talents, and distinguishing features:

"Expert Loader" skill:
  • -75% (instead of -50%) to the reload time of guns when switching shell type.
"Expert Marksman" skill:
  • +3 deg/s (instead of 2.5 deg/s) to the traverse speed of guns with a calibre up to and including 139 mm.
  • +1 deg/s (instead of 0.7 deg/s) to the traverse speed of guns with a calibre above 139 mm.

The ship helmed by Commander Halsey will get an exclusive pennant, and shells fired from her main guns will have red tracers. Fireworks will be shot off the ship when any of the achievements that activate the above mentioned talents are earned. These personalizations can optionally be deactivated. Any active personalizations will be visible to all players in a battle.

Fair winds, Captains!

World of Warships PTS 0.7.5 US Cruiser Split - American Cruisers Collection

We are happy to present you the Developer Bulletin for Update 0.7.5. This Update will mark the launch of an American cycle that will last for several months to bring a lot of new interesting stuff to World of Warships. First, you get an updated tech tree of the U.S. heavy cruisers with Cleveland joining the line of light CAs. Apart from that, you get a new campaign and collection, complemented by a number of tweaks improving audio and battle interface.

ROUND 1 OF PUBLIC TEST STARTS: Thu. May 17 18:30 CET (UTC+1)
ROUND 1 OF PUBLIC TEST ENDS: Mon. May 21 15:00 CET (UTC+1)

Important! Because the version update is still being tested, the information in this Bulletin is tentative and reflects the state of game development at the time of publication. Certain changes and new features may be stripped or implemented by the time the final version of this update goes live. Screenshots, specific values of certain characteristics, and details of in-game mechanics will not necessarily be relevant after the update is released.

U.S. Cruisers
New U.S. Cruisers will be live on the Public Test Server for the second round of the test.

The American tech tree of cruisers will face a serious reshuffle. Update 0.7.5 will realign the tech tree of U.S. heavy cruisers, sending   VI Cleveland to Tier VIII on the light cruiser fleet. Try out the new ships and find out more about the rules of replacement during the Public Test. The first round will involve the original tech tree of U.S. cruisers while the second round will see the heavy ships replaced and moved.

Changes start at Tier VI where the traditionally expected   VI Cleveland will be replaced with  VII Pensacola followed by   VIII New Orleans and   IX Baltimore. A new ship   IX Buffalo—takes her place at Tier IX. The ship carries twelve 203mm guns with super heavy AP rounds, perfectly embodying the notion of a heavy cruiser in the game. Excellent damage from a full broadside, a decent pool of hit points, and a 27mm plating to protect the ship's fore and aft ends. Add to it a vast selection of consumables, and the ship stands out as a formidable adversary in medium-range encounters with other cruisers and destroyers.

The parameters of ships shifted down the tech tree were readjusted accordingly, but their overall performance at their "new" tiers may turn out to be even better than that of their predecessors.    X Des Moines will continue to hold the reins at Tier X of the heavy line with a-lightning-fast main guns reload and outstanding AA defences.

The good old   VI Cleveland is taken two tiers up to her new place in the split line of light cruisers. We've improved the ship's parameters by giving her faster main guns reload time and a higher turret traverse speed, more HP and an option to equip "Hydroacoustic Search", "Surveillance Radar" and "Defensive AA Fire" at the same time. In Update 0.7.5,     VI Cleveland will be the only representative of the line of U.S. light cruisers. The other ships will join the fleet very soon.

"American Cruisers" Collection

Another major addition to the game that will come with the release of Update 0.7.5 will be a new permanent collection. It will be entirely dedicated to U.S. cruisers of various periods and the U.S. Navy in general. The collection will consist of 48 items divided into eight thematic subcollections. By completing those subcollections, players will be able to change the color patterns of standard camouflages applied to U.S. ships and mount a second flag. Collectible items will come in "American" containers that will be delivered to you for completing dedicated combat missions.

Once the Update goes live, American containers will give you a chance to get combat missions which, once completed, will land Premium ships like   VII Sims,   VI Monaghan,   VII Atlanta,   VIII Kidd and the revamped researchable   VI Cleveland right in your Port! Collectible items may also come in daily containers after you've obtained your first collectible item.

Subcollections and the new features they unlock:

Subcollection Reward
Cruisers, 1900s–1930s An ability to fly a second flag aboard U.S. cruisers.
Cruisers, 1940s An ability to fly a second flag aboard U.S. battleships.
Main Battery An ability to fly a second flag aboard U.S. aircraft carriers.
Anti-Aircraft Guns An ability to fly a second flag aboard U.S. destroyers.
Highest Awards An additional paint scheme for the standard camouflages of U.S. cruisers
Orders and Medals An additional paint scheme for the standard camouflages of U.S. battleships.
Combat Ratings An additional paint scheme for the standard camouflages of U.S. aircraft carriers.
Other Ratings An additional paint scheme for the standard camouflages of U.S. destroyers.

By completing the entire collection, you get a unique camouflage for cruiser Cleveland and a commemorative flag

"Hit Hard! Hit Fast! Hit Often!" Campaign

The new collection will come with a new permanent campaign. The name of the campaign derives from the Fleet Admiral William Halsey's favorite byword, and that's done for a reason: the campaign is dedicated to this renowned U.S. Navy admiral. In the game, he will be embodied in a unique American commander with enhanced skills and talents that can be obtained by completing the final task of the fifth mission. During the Public Test, you'll be able to test Halsey in battle after you're through with the final task of the third mission.

You'll have a whole range of tasks with a variety of conditions available for you, including those that can be completed in Clan and Ranked Battles. Successful progression through the tasks will bring you many useful rewards, including an expendable "American" camo while the final tasks of missions (except Mission 5) will reward you with supercontainers. Just like in our other campaigns, stars will be issued for every completion of a given task while rewards will only be issued once.

To join the campaign, you need to reach at least level 12 in your Service Record and have ships of Tier VIII or above in the Port. Certain tasks will require ships of a certain type and nation. Find out more in a dedicated article soon.

Complete the final task of the second mission during the Public Test to get Yamamoto Isoroku, a unique Commander that will obtain the "Expert Marksman" and "Preventive Maintenance" enhanced skills with the release of Update 0.7.5 in addition to the talents he already has.

Informing in Battle
We continue to focus on the issue of providing players with maximum operative combat information. In the previous Update, we added ribbons for aerial bombs. This time, we're adding a "Spotted" ribbon. The new ribbon will be issued when you spot a ship that is spotted for the first time or gets spotted again after remaining undetected for at least 90 seconds of battle time.

In response to numerous requests from players, a ship's direction vector will now be displayed in the game. Now, once you are locked on a target enemy ship, the Minimap will clearly show the direction of that ship's movement. By aligning your own vector and that of an enemy ship, you'll be able to fire more effectively.

Audio Improvements
Work never stops to further enhance the in-game audio. This time, we're adding additional sounds to ports. In many ports like Hamburg or Marseille we've added sound effects for planes flying across the sky and ships passing by. In the Black Sea port, we added sound effects for activities on the square. In the Philippines port, church sounds can be heard. These sounds will be available for "High" and "Ultra" audio presets when the "Play music in port" setting is off. All details about the forthcoming new audio features will be available in the full list of changes that will be released with the Update. Even on the Polar map, the aircraft flying up in the sky will have a new set of sound effects.

Don't have a powerful PC configuration? Here is good news for you! The "Low" audio setting has been further optimized to release even more resources. With this option selected, ship engines will be silenced and ambient sounds will be turned off. The maximum effect will be achieved for PC configurations running a 32-bit operating system with limited RAM resources.

Other Improvements and Fixes
We've rolled out a minor update to the Unsportsmanlike Conduct Prevention System. Now, when a player's torpedoes hit an allied ship, mirror damage will be inflicted on that player only after receiving an allied damage warning. Immediate infliction of mirror damage for torpedo hits occasionally resulted in situations when a team lost two players at a time, which apparently didn't add to that team's chances for victory.

Smoke screens will now be visible from all distances regardless of graphics settings or hardware configuration. Previously, the rendering sequence applied to smoke screens could be broken, making any deployed smoke invisible in the binocular view.
