Developer Bulletin 0.7.7 Sharks vs Eagles

Public Test Round 1 Schedule
Round 1 starts: Thu. Jul. 05 18:30 CEST (UTC+2)
Round 1 ends: Mon. Jul. 09 18:00 CEST (UTC+2)

The upcoming update will crown the American series with the GO NAVY! event. Choose one of the teams—the Eagles or the Sharks, take part in your favorite types of battle, earn points, and receive your rewards! In addition to that, updated operations Saving Carrier Raptor and Narai, as well as a new type of daily containers with Coal await you.
IMPORTANT! Because the update is still being tested, the information in this Bulletin is tentative and reflects the state of game development at the time of its publication. Changes and new features may be removed entirely or implemented differently by the time the update goes live. Screenshots, specific values of certain characteristics, and details of in-game mechanics will not necessarily be relevant after the update is released.

Commander, choose your team and start the battle! In Update 0.7.7, all players will be able to participate in the clash between two teams—Sharks and Eagles.

Have you made your choice? An updated Port of New York decorated in the colors of your team will greet you from the start.
. .
Furthermore, in the port, you will also see special tabs:
  • Team progress results;
  • Individual achievements and awards;
  • Rules of the event;
  • Leaderboard.
Each stage of the competition will last one day. The team that earns the most points wins the stage. All players who contribute to the result of the team receive a special container.
Earning points in the competition is very simple—use Tier V or higher ships in Co-op, Random, Scenario, or Clan Battles. When reaching certain milestones with the points earned in battles, you will be given containers of your team. You can see the details in the Personal Result section.
Needless to say that the more points you earn, the more chances you have to make it to the Leaderboard. Hit the Top 1,000, Top 100, or Top 10 players of your team and receive additional awards. Go for it!

How do you earn points?

In Co-op and Random Battles, you score points for destroying enemy ships, winning battles, earning heroic achievements, and completing special combat missions. In operations, you earn points for each star received when your team wins. In Clan Battles, you just have to win.

What are special combat missions?

After starting a Random or Co-op Battle, you may get a personal mission to be completed in battle. If you complete it, you earn extra points. The mission must be completed only in the current battle—the progress is not saved or transferred to the next battle. The chance of getting a personal mission depends on the class of ship you are using.

Arsenal Update

In Update 0.7.7, the Arsenal gets a small update—a temporary section GO NAVY!—and two new temporary resources - Eagles and Sharks tokens.
In the Arsenal, you can exchange the tokens of your team for containers or replenish your stocks of camouflages, signals, and other useful items.
During the Public Test, the "GO NAVY!" section will offer you all Tier X ships. Play several battles of any type, earn the required amount of resources, and exchange them for any top-tier ship you like!
But bear in mind that all Tier X's will be available in the Arsenal for the duration of the Public test only! On the live server, the choice of ships in the Arsenal will be different.

Where do you find new resources?

You can get new tokens for increasing the level of your team loyalty. You prove loyalty to your team by staying in it until the day is over and declining an offer of the opposing team which can try to convince you to join them. But keep in mind that if you accept the offer, you will receive a container of the team you will join. You can track your progress in the Personal Result tab.

Do you need Coal for your Arsenal?

Choose the More Resources option when you receive a daily container. By doing so, you will find some Coal inside! Also, there is a chance that in slots 2 and 3 you will find Free XP and signals.

Operations Update

We invite you to try the updated Saving Carrier Raptor and Narai operations in Public Test 0.7.7.
In the Saving Carrier Raptor operation, the number of possible routes for the aircraft carrier has increased to four. The enemy fleet has become more diverse, and the tactics differ depending on the route taken by the aircraft carrier.
The Narai operation is back in the Operation of the Week section, and it's had some improvements as well: the eastern part of the map has been updated—now it's not just an additional direction for approaching the base, but also a retreat route for enemy aircraft carrier King. Your team should send some of its ships to intercept her, because her sinking will earn you another star! Destroy her and you'll receive an extra star, should your team win.

Battle UI: Minimap

In Update 0.7.7, for the convenience of players, the Minimap will display the point where the guns of the ship are aimed. This will allow players to better understand the firing and aiming mechanics.
Please note that it will hardly affect the survivability of ships that prefer the tactics of putting smoke screens or using terrain as a cover. Firing at an enemy ship without being locked on to her is less effective than firing at a ship in your reticle, because without having a lock on, the shell spread significantly increases, which makes hitting the enemy much harder
